Definition: "Amplifying." In Christian doctrine, this term refers to the process by which God's grace is poured out on a sinner in order to bring them into relationship with Him. Amplification involves God first purifying an individual or community to reach them for Christ, then through His Word and actions, ultimately making their lives more like Jesus' life (1 John 2:3).
