(Okay, okay, you probably haven't, unless you lurk in very specific corners of Twitch and maybe some MMA forums. Totally fine.)
Basically, a “ruffey" is a spectacularly obnoxious, frankly insulting, and aggressively bad-feeling play on the infamous, historically depressing, and absolutely devastating insult – "offrey." Geoffrey. Geoffrey, as in Geoffrey Bateman. Geoffrey Bateman, the 1980-something accountant from the old ESPN Totally Rocks ad campaign. That single, painfully beige, utterly mediocre clip of him sitting with his perfectly respectable, yet deeply unlikle what you were hoping for, new car and then a completely miserable, frankly, pathetic delivery of that now legendary line. Let's just say Geoffrey Bateman became a symbol for everything in the sports world that was guaranteed to suck your joy right out. To be a total offfrey is to be utterly, irrevocably, spectacularly bad at something. It's the peak of failure, of disappointment. 10/10 would not recommend. Now, you, with your wonderfully sharp little minds (I’m kidding, we probably have some very beige people here) decided that a "ruffey" is exactly what you get when you, in the smug aftermath of someone else's
