👉 Playacting is a term used in media, particularly TV and film, to describe someone who tries to act their part or perform a role without actually being involved in that role. It is often used to describe a person who appears as if they are performing an action on screen but does not actually do it. For example, a character might be played by a voice actor, a model, or a dancer, and the actor would be pretending to act like the character without actually being there.
