👉 Caryatides are a type of asteroid that are usually about 40 to 50 kilometers (25 to 31 miles) in diameter, orbiting their star in an elliptical path. They have been named after the Greek god of war and peace, Achilles, as he is said to have killed the legendary Trojan War god Hector with a spear made from a caryatide.
