👉 Azygous, also known as anhydrous or dry ammonia, is a gas that is often used in the preparation of fertilizers and pesticides. It has a very low boiling point (123°C) and can be produced by heating water to around 400°C. Azygous ammonia is not dangerous when consumed in small quantities but it can cause irritation if ingested or inhalation.
