👉 In mathematics, a katamorphism is a special kind of morphism that has a property of being injective but not necessarily surjective. This means that if you have a function f from A to B and it's defined on all elements in A, then it's also defined on all elements in B (and vice versa). This allows the function to be used to map non-elements of B into non-elements of A, which is why it's called a "katamorphism."
