Definition: Moulons are small, white, hard shell-like mollusks that live in the deep water of oceanic trenches and abyssal plains. They have a tough, protective outer shell made up of cells surrounded by a web of muscles known as the mantle. Moulons can be found along many different layers of the ocean floor, including coral reefs, seafloor spreading beds, and the deep sea floor itself.
