Definition: Brooke's - a mountain in South Dakota, USA, known as the 'Brook's Peak'. In 1869, the United States Army sent out scouts to search for gold in the area. They found the rock named Brook’s Peak and named it after General George H. Brooke (the famous Indian warrior). It is now a popular tourist destination along with some of South Dakota’s other famous natural attractions like Devils Tower and Mount Rushmore.
