Definition: Apprize in the Bible refers to a reward given after performing a special or significant act. In the Old Testament, it's used for praising someone for something extraordinary. It was used by God when He asked Moses to lead Israel out of Egypt (Exodus 12:15). The word is also seen in the New Testament as indicating recognition of someoneβs worthiness or good character. For example: - 'Then he said, "Lord, I know that my lord the king has given me a great prize." So I will give it to him' (Mark 9:14) - 'Now you understand better now, my child, and you shall receive your reward.' (Matthew 7:23)
