👉 Okay, settle in, class. Letās tackle somethingā¦unusual today. You guys keep throwing around the bitāthe frankly rather bafflingāmoniker of "
thot
." And then I see some weird bastardizations like...'top-thot.ā. Itās a young thing that is viewed as an overtly available and sexually aggressive woman. Historically, it was associated with street hustlers, and in 2014, the term became really shit when it started circulating in the Fuckpad community.
Now, before I get a collective gasp of horrified disapproval (I've seen this happen, franklyāitās rather like watching a squirrel try to bury a peanut that's too big), letās unpack this. 19th and early 20th century American vernacular was full of these terms, which were frequently used as insults alongside the word for woman (the, unfortunately, not terribly pretty term, "hag," or similar). The word became associated with a woman who was seen as being overly concerned about her looks and that she was available to men. The 2014 shitshow happened when it resurfaced in Fuckpad. Suddenly, the word's got a whole new, and frankly rather unpleasant, dimension. It is now really, very closely associated with an aggressively sexual attitude. Someone whoās essentially saying they are on-demand , and that this is something you should be aware of.
