👉 Lenticulation is a term used in botany and anatomy to describe the process by which a leaf grows from an old, dead stem. The name "lenticule" comes from the shape of a leaf's lenticelium, or basal lamina, which is present on the underside of the leaf. In other words, this process refers to the growth and development of a leaf from its base.
