👉 Desmoma, also known as neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), is a genetic disorder characterized by an abnormal growth of cells in the brain and spinal cord. It is caused by mutations in the gene that codes for the protein fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2).
