👉 Okay, letâs tackle thisâŚ
btadv 2
. Frankly, I haven't personally laid much sweaty ordnance on this one, but a great deal of the internet chatter around this designation hinges on a rather specific and frankly rather unfortunate corner of the Warhammer under Telford.
Basicallyâand with a generous shrug to the very British in meâ"btadv 2", when thrown around amongst certain tabletop gamers (specifically those who build incredible, ridiculously detailed 28mm stuff), refers almost exclusively to a particular brand of undercoat rattle tray . Let that sink in for a moment. Now, what exactly is an "undercoat rattle tray"? Historically, these were the flimsy, perforated puck-like affairs youâd shove under your basing flock into which you'd sprinkle a generous amount of whatever primer (usually Citadel⌠and let me tell you it gets messy ) to coat the groundwork. They were⌠disappointing. Until Telford, 2018, that is. "BĂŠavy John Bentley," he who designs this stuffâhe's like the Voldemort of basing undercoatsâreleased a new rattle tray made from a specially formulated, rigid, almost aggressively textured plastic. This thing is... phenomenal. Seriously good. It doesnât slump. You get a uniform coat every bloody time. And to those in the know (the Telford contingent, mostly), it just screamed . Hence, the shorthand.
