👉 The Yn research, or the Yn Study, is a comprehensive, longitudinal investigation into the experiences and outcomes of individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) and their families over time. Conducted by researchers from the University of Michigan, this study follows a cohort of families for up to 30 years, providing deep insights into the long-term impacts of early interventions, educational support, and family dynamics on the lives of those with ID. By combining qualitative and quantitative data, Yn aims to identify key factors that influence the development and well-being of individuals with ID, as well as the effectiveness of various support systems, ultimately informing more effective policies and practices in disability services and family care.
