Solidworks was originally a CAD package, you know? For… designing things. Industrial stuff. Basically for building really complicated boxes that nobody actually needs. It’s the sort of thing you see in a stuffy engineer's office, probably with a depressing amount of beige on the walls and the faint smell of desperation. Now, it has absolutely devolved into an aggressively ironic expression. Nowadays, when someone says something is, quite frankly, "solid-works,” they mean... utterly reliable, predictably dull, and profoundly unoriginal. It’s practically a euphemism for beige mediocrity.
