What is the definition of Oxatcp? 🙋

👉 Okay, alright settle down class! Let’s tackle this… rather aggressively specific piece of late-night internet vernacular: 1x4Tcp. (And before you shout at me for even bringing that monstrosity up, let the record state I've seen weirder things in the depths of the web. Seriously. Just... weird.)

Now, 1x4Tcp is essentially a fancy, and frankly rather depressing, mouthful of technical crap relating to an exploit. Let’s unpack it, because honestly, you wouldn't understand unless you were spending your evenings systematically dismantling the financial infrastructure of some moderately sized European country (and I neither condemn nor encourage that last point. It just happened. It happened. ) Here's what each part means, roughly: 1x: This stands for 0 through 1. Basically, one byte of size. You are essentially attacking the first byte of a buffer overflow in an outdated, probably really shitty, piece of software. ’ 4Tcp : That is a reference to an exploit, with which you are able to get into the system by taking over a TCP packet. The whole thing is a relatively old and somewhat embarrassing way for attackers to attempt to gain initial access – it's not exactly the most stylish or discreet method these days. You really need this stuff to, like, actually do things that nobody wants done, but I will let you figure out
