What is the definition of Mongolia Math? 🙋

👉 Mongolia Math, also known as the Mongolian number system or Mongolian numerals, is an ancient numeral system used historically by the Mongols and other Central Asian cultures. It's based on a base-20 (decimal) system, similar to many other numeral systems, but with a unique set of symbols. The system uses 13 symbols: two for units (1 and 10), five for fives (5 and 50), three for tens (20, 100, 1000), and one for twenty-tens (200, 2000, etc.). Unlike the Hindu-Arabic system, which uses a positional notation with distinct digits for each place value, Mongolian numerals are additive and do not include a symbol for zero. This system was particularly useful for practical calculations in trade and astronomy, reflecting the importance of these activities in Mongolian society. Despite its historical significance, the Mongolian numeral system has largely been replaced by the more efficient Hindu-Arabic system in modern times.
