👉 LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) engineering is a pioneering project designed to detect gravitational waves, ripples in spacetime caused by cosmic events like black hole mergers or neutron star collisions. Developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with NASA, LISA will consist of three massive spacecraft arranged in a triangular formation with millions of kilometers between them, forming a "sailboat" structure. Each spacecraft will carry ultra-stable lasers to measure minute changes in distance—smaller than the diameter of an atomic nucleus—as they pass through gravitational waves.
