👉 Demiplanar, or demiplaneal, is a type of vessel in which blood vessels are located between two layers of parenchyma. It is often used to describe organs such as kidney and liver, where there is a significant amount of interstitial space between the parenchyma and the tissue above it. In general, a demiplanar organ would have fewer or no blood vessels than a paraplane organ, which means that its blood supply is more restricted.
