👉 Boy computing, also known as Boy Mama Code, is an educational initiative founded by girls of color in 2014 to address the lack of representation and resources for young Black and Brown girls in computer science. The program aims to inspire and empower these girls by providing them with hands-on coding experiences, mentorship, and a supportive community. Through workshops, summer camps, and after-school programs, Boy computing introduces girls to programming languages, algorithms, and tech careers, fostering confidence and interest in STEM fields. By breaking down barriers and promoting diversity in tech, Boy computing seeks to create a more inclusive and equitable future in the digital world.
