👉 Alt pimples, also known as whiteheads or closed comedones, are a common type of acne lesion that form when hair follicles become clogged with dead skin cells, sebum (oil), and bacteria. In the case of whiteheads, the clog is partially open to the surface of the skin, resulting in a small, round, white or yellow bump. This occurs when the pore remains closed, trapping the debris. In contrast, blackheads have an open tip that exposes them to air, causing oxidation and the characteristic dark appearance. Alt pimples are typically less inflamed than open comedones (blackheads) but can still cause discomfort and may lead to further acne development if not treated.
