👉 A blastophore is a type of bacterium that can cause blisters and ulcers on the skin. They are often found in areas with high levels of acid reflux disease, which is caused by acid reflux, or heartburn. This condition occurs when stomach acid flows down the esophagus instead of up into the larynx (voice box). The acid then irritates the lining of the mouth and throat, causing blisters on the tongue and lips.
