👉 Arteriogenesis is a process by which blood vessels in the body grow and develop, similar to the growth of new organ tissue. It occurs during fetal development and typically begins around 6 weeks after conception, but can also occur later in pregnancy or shortly after birth. In this process, the blood vessels form from the basement membrane of the developing embryo. These vessels are called arteriolar bundles, which consist of two layers of cells: a smooth muscle cell layer and an endothelial cell layer
