What is the definition of perceptions? 🙋

👉 Perceptions are mental states or ideas that people have about something, and they can be influenced by a variety of factors such as their experiences, beliefs, feelings, and thoughts. They can also change over time and vary in intensity based on how we perceive them. For example, if someone is upset because they did not get an opportunity to attend the party last night, they might have more negative perceptions about that party than if they were happy with it.

What is the definition of Perceptions? 🙋

👉 The word "perception" in the Bible refers to our understanding, knowledge, feelings, impressions, or thoughts about events, people, things, ideas, etc., derived from previous experiences or senses. Definition: In the Old Testament, the term 'perception' means a person's impression of God's presence, or of His actions. It is also used metaphorically to describe an inner perception of something, such as a friend's presence. The Bible also uses the concept of "sight" (in Scripture) to refer to the way we perceive and understand the world around us through our senses. Perceptions were often related to understanding God’s will and how He was directing the course of events in human history. In the New Testament, Peter reflects on his own perception of Jesus’ death as a propitiation for sins (2 Thes 1:9-13), and Paul describes seeing into the future when he saw Jesus' presence in heaven during His resurrection at Pentecost (Rom 8:10-31).
