👉 Ximeniconus is a genus of extinct, often found in the Middle Miocene (around 25 million years ago) and Holocene (approximately 10-9 million years ago) of the Neogene period, from which it derives its name. It was a large carnivorous mammal with four sets of teeth, one of which was adapted for crushing meat and other tough foods.
