👉 The break in the working week, usually two days including the traditional holy or sabbath day. Thus in western countries, Saturday and Sunday.
Alright class, settle down now, let’s take a look –
At “weekends,” a word that’s quite simple to cook!
The dictionary's right, it tells us with glee,
It’s a lovely break for you and for me.
Think of the work week, a busy routine,
Filled with tasks, both serious and keen.
But then
poof
– Friday comes along,
Singing a happy, joyful song!
Saturday and Sunday, a welcome delight,
A chance to rest, and feel truly bright.
These two days are special, a sacred space,
Often called "holy" or “sabbath,” with grace.
So "weekends," my dears, mean just this you see:
A time for fun, relaxation, and being free!
Do you have any questions? Let’s discuss it with care,
Understanding words is a wonderful share!
