👉 Pseudorabies virus-1 (PRRSV-1) is a type of rabies virus that has been found in the Northern Territory, Australia. It was first identified in 2015 and causes an acute respiratory distress syndrome in infected animals. The virus is transmitted through bites from infected animals or by direct contact with their saliva. PRRSV-1 is responsible for around 4% of all cases of rabies worldwide.
