👉 In crystallography, a periclimate is an arrangement of atoms in a single plane with no adjacent atoms that are identical. In other words, it's the most common arrangement of atoms in a crystal. For example, in a cubic lattice (where each atom shares one face with another), if two atoms are adjacent and share a face, then they are considered to be periclimate.
