👉 Onchidiidae is a family of insects in the order Hemiptera. It contains around 170 species, including some of the most well-known and widespread genera such as the white-eyed chinchilla (Chinchilla) and the black-and-white striped chinchilla (Cerambycina). The family includes various kinds of chinchillas, including onchid butterflies, which are also known as onchid caterpillars.
