👉 "Nondevelopmental" is a term used in psychology and social sciences to describe individuals who display characteristics of a developmental stage but do not progress through that stage. These individuals may have some degree of intellectual or emotional development, but they are still at a lower level of cognitive, emotional, or physical functioning than the next higher stage. The term was coined by psychologist Carl Rogers in his work on the concept of "nondevelopmental" individuals.
