Now, I’ll be upfront – nobody outside a very specific corner of the freaking internet actually knows exactly what it is. Frankly, neither do they who coined the term. It started as some sort of weird, unofficial, almost aggressively obscure hexadecimal notation that blew up in early 2018, largely thanks to a bunch of guys messing around with 4chan and… let's just say a healthy amount of internet boredom.
Basically, mT¹ is essentially a random, nonsensical sequence of digits and letters. Think the equivalent of a digital shrug, except instead of saying "meh," it’s saying... absolutely nothing but to make you feel like there ought to be something more to that than there actually is. It's a placeholder for… well, honestly? Nobody knows what it was originally meant to designate! The point isn’t that it means anything.
