👉 Mopiopia is a visual illusion in which an image appears larger than its actual size due to the distortion caused by the viewer's eyes moving closer or further away from the object being observed. This effect is commonly seen when looking at objects that are too close together, such as a person or a car. The term was coined by the Italian artist and architect Mario Piola in 1962.
