👉 Microseismicity is a type of seismic activity that occurs when only a small portion of the Earth's crust, or microstructure, moves under the action of an earthquake. This can happen in two ways:

Downing earthquake
: A microseismic event where the ground beneath the surface shifts slightly, such as during a large-scale volcanic eruption or an earthquake near the center of the Earth.
2.
Microquake
: An extremely small earthquake with very little shaking that occurs at the
