👉 Erythrophagous is a type of cancer that occurs when blood cells from the immune system are also damaged. This can lead to the formation of a tumor, or mass of cells in the body. Erythroblasts (red blood cells) and platelets are normal cells, but when they get damaged by an infection, they become abnormal, called erythrophages. The term "erythrophagous" refers to the combination of these two types of cells.
