👉 EBCDIC (Extended Binary Code for Computer Data) is a type of ASCII data format used in computer programming and graphical user interfaces. It was developed by the Electronic Board of Canada to provide a standardized way to represent text on computers, as well as graphics.
The EBCDIC character set includes 256 characters, each representing one symbol:
