👉 Chauliodinidae are a family of ant species, commonly known as chaulids, that belong to the order Apicomplexa and are characterized by their large size (up to 30 mm in length), long, slender bodies with four pairs of antennae, and a single pair of legs. They have a long, flexible abdomen with numerous bristles or appendages called chaulidin.
