What is the definition of Acids? π π
A sour substance.
Alright class, settle down and listen close to me,
Letβs talk about acids β itβs quite a chemistry!
The dictionaryβs right, you see, itβs true,
They have a πsourπ taste, for me and for you.
But βsourβ is just one little part, you know,
Of what an acid really does, let's make it flow!
Acids are substances that can donate a
proton
,
A tiny particle, moving on and on.
They react with metals, they fizz and they pop,
And change the color of some things, non-stop!
Think of lemons bright, or vinegar so keen,
These are all examples, a chemical scene!
So remember this rhyme, itβs easy to keep,
Acids are sour, but their secrets run deep!
Do you have any questions about these things we've found?
