Definition: Chicco is an American toy brand that was founded in 1984 by Jerry and Judy Riccio of Chicago, Illinois. The brand was originally known as The Roco Co. Chicco quickly became recognized for its affordable toys which were often priced under $20. The first toy from the line was a Barbie doll with a matching stuffed animal named Pina. This would become the iconic 'Pineapple' and would be one of the first children's dolls to sell for over $1. In 1985, Chicco released its first model - the Pina-Beanie. The model had a pink top, blue pants with white stripes on them, and a matching stuffed animal called Pina. This toy quickly became a hit among kids and has been around ever since. Over time, Chicco expanded to include other popular toys such as Barbie dolls, doll houses, and stuffed animals. The brand also released additional products, including dress-up sets, action figures, and board games. Today, Chicco is known for its affordable and fun toys that are perfect for children of all ages.
