Subcarbureted

In this term, we mean that a car's system is functioning properly but not quite as well as expected due to some sort of mechanical malfunction. Example: "Hey, man! My truck's got a subcarbureted problem and the engine isn't getting enough juice. We have to do something about it before it gets out of hand!"
