👉 Okay, settle yourselves down folks - let’s tackle this wonderfully prickly little bit of English that goes by the delightfully confusing mouthful: "angel-borne." 1️⃣hesians, I feel you. When I first stumbled upon that phrase, my immediate thought was, frankly, picturing a very small, rather judgmental cherub hitching a piggyback ride on something. 🤣


Basically – and this is where it gets weird - "angel-borne," historically (and in certain delightfully archaic corners of the English language, still!), refers to something that's either miraculously produced, blessed by divine intervention, or… frankly... really, really, awfully lucky . Now, here’s the kicker! Before we were all about the scientific and medical stuff you see today, a lot of things were just… attributed. Like, if your kid was born with a perfectly formed, incredibly blue birthmark right there on their bum, a woman might cheerfully declare it to be "angel-borne." (Cue dramatic Victorian portrait, probably in velvet and lace.) Essentially, it's a fancy way to say something good happened by the sheer, inexplicable whim of… somewhere.
